Bring in a new unwrapped toy to earn one Science NHS service hour.

Path Clean-Up

Tomorrow after school we will be cleaning the path in front of the school. You can either meet in my room or meet us in front of the school after school. Bring work gloves.

General Information

Thanks for the great turn out for our first talk of the year. We would love to have more speakers, but need your help to find people.

A few things coming up -
1. We are starting a recycling program for the following : juice packs (Capri Sun type), Scotch tape dispensers and rolls, ink cartridges, cell phones, cereal bags (the cereals that come in bags, not the inner bags of cereal boxes) Please bring in these items for this ongoing project. Terracycle donates money the The Nature Conservancy when we send in items.

2. We are going to join the Adopt-A-Path program for The Woodlands. I am looking at adopting the path in front of our school. This means going out once a month to pick up trash there.

3. The FIRST LEGO League tournament will be at College Park High School on Saturday, November 13th from 8am to 5pm. They will need volunteers for
referees, pit bosses, registration desk, setting up, breaking down,video, scorekeeping, emcee, and other little tasks. They will train you
on the spot. If anyone would like to volunteer for any amount of time for this, please let me know. This is a Robotics Competition for younger kids using LEGOs.

4. Any comments - positive or negative - about Science Night. Things we could change, etc.

Science Night

This Thursday night is Science Night! Everyone involved needs to come in this week to make sure that they are prepared!

Meeting tomorrow

We are meeting tomorrow. We will be discussing science night, frog pond, etc.

Fundraiser

We made almost $1000 from our flower bulb fundraiser. We will be giving some of it to CARE to benefit the Pakistan flood victims.

Fundraiser

Orders were due today, but if you turn them in to me first thing on Monday morning, I am not sending in the order until Monday. Don't forget that participating in a fundraiser is required for lettering in Science NHS.
